Aurigan de Gwaihir

Aurigan de Gwaihir (b.2002) is the sensational son of Gwaihir Aubusson.

His breeding is 1/8th Arab and 7/8th Thoroughbred with Anglo Arabian and ACE registrations. His striking markings and fabulous conformation have led to success at every outing, with numerous breed and open champions to his credit.

Aurigan de Gwaihir has the famous Gwaihir temperament, which makes him wonderfully trainable and easy to handle. He stands at an imposing 16.3hh. Athleticism abounds, with wonderfully balanced, elevated and uphill paces giving his progeny many career options.

He was initially shown successfully as a stallion, with 2009 seeing him enter the hacking arena as a gelding. Where he won as both a hack and as a show hunter. 2010 saw Mark Kenzig pair with Aurigan at Canberra Royal, where they placed 2nd ridden derivative gelding and 6th led derivative gelding as well as 6th novice show hunter hack. Bathurst Royal saw them sashed Champion Novice Show Hunter Hack and Champion Led Derivative Gelding. Sydney Royal saw his new owners lead him to victory as the "Best" Led Derivative Gelding. His new owner, junior rider, Natasha Anjoul has already partnered Aurigan de Gwaihir with success in inter-school, junior, dressage, Arab and Royal competitions.

His winning ways extend into the dressage arena with a 1st place and 72% in his first preliminary test.
