Mt Robinson's Gwaihir and Airlie Robinson made the big trek from their stud in Victoria, via Gwaihir Stud, to compete at Sydney Royal.

The combination were already travel and competition weary after having been at DJWTS only a week prior (where they were the highest placed 5yo s/j stallion, ahead of all the imported and Warmblood stallions in their class).

Airlie was more than a little apprehensive about the 3 phases of the competition as she and her boy are new to the eventing and young horse competitions.

The pair were a little shaky in the dressage phase, did a nice jumping round (although finding the much lower than usual jumps a little testing to adjust to) and cleaned up in the conformation phase (where they were equal 1st).

The pair only just missed out on the placings coming a credible 7th out of 15 entries.
